Wrong phrases could be easily improved

Please describe the problem: All occurrences of "Whether if" in translatable messages should become simply "Whether": grep 'Whether if' mousetweaks.pot "Whether if Alt must be pressed for the pointer to be captured while it's " "Whether if Ctrl must be pressed for the pointer to be captured while it's " "Whether if Shift must be pressed for the pointer to be captured while it's " "Whether if the Alt key must be pressed with the mouse button set in " "Whether if the Ctrl key must be pressed with the mouse button set in " "Whether if the Shift key must be pressed with the mouse button set in " Steps to reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Sounds good, but do you know if that would be correct grammar. These strings were just recently changed (by a non native speaker I think). If we change them again, it would be nice to be certain that they're correct.
The suggestion looks fine to me, and I am pretty much a native English speaker, though from India. Also, shouldn't all of them read, e.g., "the Alt key", rather than "Alt"? Thus, I would suggest: "Whether the Alt key must be pressed for the pointer to be captured while it's " "Whether the Ctrl key must be pressed for the pointer to be captured while it's " "Whether the Shift key must be pressed for the pointer to be captured while it's " "Whether the Alt key must be pressed with the mouse button set in " "Whether the Ctrl key must be pressed with the mouse button set in " "Whether the Shift key must be pressed with the mouse button set in "
