Please commit the obox-related stuff. You have some other changes in there at the end of the patch. Are they also something you want to commit?

Those 'other changes' were necessary to even get the clock applet to compile, independently of the changed obox stuff.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
