Description Karl Lattimer 2009-02-02 11:48:08 UTC
This is probably the weirdest bug I've ever reported.

30 years to the day of the death of Sid Vicious (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sid_Vicious)

Non of the music I have by the sex pistols will play... the audio cuts out but the slider keeps going... Sometimes it cuts back in at ominous moments too.

These tracks usually work fine!

/me goes to grab some kind of talisman

all other music plays fine, the tracks come from various CD's and ripped via various bits of software, not all of them gstreamer.
Comment 2 Frederic Peters 2009-02-02 12:04:57 UTC
I wouldn't call you a *Liar*, and it's not like I have *No Feelings* but if you've got *Problems* (perhaps too much *Holidays in the Sun* hurt the *Bodies*?), there may be up to *Seventeen* reasons; hopefully thanks to your bug *Submission* probably a *Pretty Vacant* developer will travel from *New York* to check this (unless there is *Anarchy in the U.K.*), of course.

Anyway, *God Save the Queen*, *E.M.I* just played fine here.

well I've tried playing the music in mplayer and the same thing is happening with that...

Funnily I listened to these tracks like a week ago and they were fine, lets just call it the 2/2 but :)
Comment 4 Karl Lattimer 2009-02-02 12:18:24 UTC
also tried playing without pulseaudio... it's definitely time to get a priest in...
Comment 5 Edward Hervey 2009-03-06 08:50:49 UTC
Karl, can you get those files to play correctly with anything ?

Ok, so most likely not a GStreamer problem then from the looks of it. Feel free to re-open if you can provide more useful/specific information and sample files.
