Description Michael Monreal 2009-01-22 12:12:18 UTC
Brasero team, I need your help again :)

I just noticed that brasero does not detect my laptop's CD/DVD burner. I can read discs just fine so I guess it's not broken. If I insert a blank CD, GNOME (HAL?) detects it correctly and asks to launch the default burning app etc.

Any idea what could be wrong? I *think* I have used this burner before but I'm not entirely sure...

(Tested using some brasero 0.8.x version on openSUSE as well as 0.9.1 on Fedora Rawhide)

Hi Michael

What happens if you restart hal before ? I had the same issue on openSUSE due a HAL 0.5.12 bug that was fixed on the updates.
Comment 2 Michael Monreal 2009-01-22 14:40:30 UTC
That's it. It I restart HAL just before launching brasero, it works. Is this really fixed in 11.1 already? Do you know if this is fixed upstream as well?
Comment 3 Luis Medinas 2009-01-22 14:43:43 UTC
Yes the openSUSE Hal maintainer is also upstream he fixed in git master. Grab the update and you should be done.
