GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 56652
gtk+ requires changes for clean 64-bit build
Last modified: 2011-02-04 16:09:32 UTC
Changes need to be made to some gtk+ source files to ensure that there is no data loss when running in 64-bit mode. (Bug filed by michael.myburgh@ireland.sun.com)
I'm not going to accept API changes here in general at this point ... worrying about entries with 2-billion character lengths and so forth is just abstract silliness. But if there are implementation fixes to avoid size mismatches and so forth, please send them along.
Closing this due to lack of further feedback; if there are individual issues, they can be filed separately. (GTK+-2.0 is getting a fair bit of testing on 64 bit platforms ... it certainly works pretty well, even if it may have warnings with 64-bit cleanliness testing tools)
