GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 565832
Moving a window between xinerama screens using panel context-menu disable pointer
Last modified: 2017-04-02 20:39:33 UTC
Steps to reproduce: - Open a windows - move it on the second screen - using right-clic on the deskbar, choose "move" to move the window - move it back to the first screen - the windows doesn't appear on the first screen and now your pointer is useless. You can move it but you can't click or move anything. Stack trace: Other information: Ubuntu 8.10 Xinerama on 2 screens with a nvidia Geforce 6600 and proprietary driver v177 This bug appear to me after updating from 8.04 to 8.10.
Are you using compiz (desktop effects) or metacity?
Compiz is disabled, (Compiz don't work with xinerama) Gnome integrated copositing effects are disabled too. If I move the window using alt-click, everything is fine. What is different when using moving from the context-menu?
Don't know what's different. Moving to metacity :-) (I didn't check, but I don't think there were any relevant changes in libwnck, so likely a metacity change)
