Description Luca Ferretti 2008-12-09 20:27:24 UTC
Some tools provide a --service option to specify the Tracker Service to search for. In order to let user know what services Tracker supports a --list-service could be a good idea.

From mailing list (me and Martyn Russel)
>> About this: are we fine whit this behavior (print hardcoded(!) services

We have a "tracker-services" tool to ask tracker the available services and properties.

In the man pages of the tools, we suggest to use that tool to discover the services:

-s ServiceType
Specify the kind of the files you want to find. For more infor‐
mation on valid ServiceType see tracker-services(1).

I think we can close this bug as "NOTABUG". Thanks anyway for the report.
