Description freggy1 2008-11-16 22:11:34 UTC
In all wmv files, when I seek to a certain point of the movie with Totem's progress bar, the video stops playing and the error "Internal data stream error" pops up.

Some random sample files which show this behaviour (found with google) can be downloaded from: http://www.falundafa.org/Dutch/media.htm

No, sorry. According to the gstreamer-plugins-ugly NEWS file, bug #546859 is fixed in version 0.10.9, yet I still experience this problem with this version.

no, really, I insist.

If you look at the dates, a FIRST patch was applied (that went into the release) but was wrong and introduced the regression you're seeing. A NEW patch (the 2nd one) was applied just after the release and fixes the issue.
