I will attach a patch that fixes the initial timecode display to a) not be ugly b) be the same as the one that is displayed when there actually are clips on the timeline.

Indeed more consistent. Was thinking we could also separate the timelabel widget in 2 separate widgets (one for position, the other for duration).

I was personally thinking that the duration label was completely useless? Do users even need this, really? (at least I didn't, back when I was making films)
