Works for me with playbin2 as well. It seems you are missing the input-selector plugin from gst-plugins-bad.

Indeed, installing gst-plugins-bad fixes the issue.

Could playbin2 mention somewhere that this plugin is needed? Or even could this one be move to -base ?

the idea is to move the input-selector to -base whe playbin2 is considered more stable.
