Description Martin 2008-10-27 00:21:51 UTC
Please describe the problem:
There are a number of problems with libxml2 related to embedded stylesheets, as specified in:
<http://www.w3.org/TR/xslt#section-Embedding-Stylesheets>

The following mailing list posts have more information, testcases, and the second has patch needing review:
<http://mail.gnome.org/archives/xslt/2008-August/msg00005.html>
<http://mail.gnome.org/archives/xslt/2008-September/msg00000.html>

In summary, embedded stylesheets need to inherit namespaces and a URL from the enclosing document, and should be part of the input to transform.

Comment 1 GNOME Infrastructure Team 2021-07-05 11:00:12 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libxslt/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
