Last modified: 2009-03-25 11:23:42 UTC
Evolution hangs when creating new window due to GtkSpinButton errors. See https://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=44768 for more details. Reproduced with both imap and exchange back-ends. New window displays when following message is displayed: (evolution:9600): Gtk-WARNING **: GtkSpinButton: setting an adjustment with non-zero page size is deprecated removing cache for Outbox 1 0x98968f0 done .. now 0 Distribution: Mandriva Linux release 2009.0 (Official) for i586 Gnome Release: 2.24.0 2008-09-23 (Mandriva) BugBuddy Version: 2.24.0
Can you please provide gdb traces when evolution hangs, TIA See http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces/Details#gdb-not-yet-running for details about how to do this
(gdb) bt
+ Trace 208150
This is due to beagle, i really don't know why it happens. Please kill beagle, evo will run smoothly.
Evolution runs fine when beagle is disabled
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Unfortunately, the stack trace is missing some elements that will help a lot to solve the problem, so it will be hard for the developers to fix that crash. Could you please help fixing this by installing some debugging packages [1], start the application as normal, and try to reproduce the crash, if possible? Once bug-buddy pops up, you can find the stacktrace in the 'Details', now containing way more information. Please copy that stacktrace and paste it as a comment here. Thanks in advance! [1] Please install debug packages for evolution, evolution-data-server, gtkhtml, gtk, glib, gnome-vfs, pango, libgnome and libgnomeui (as far as those packages are provided by your distribution). More details can be found here: http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces
