the bug has been opened on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus-cd-burner/+bug/254627

"Ubuntu 8.04.1

1. Start burning an ISO to CD.

What you see: "The selected disc image is being written to a CD or DVD."
What you should see: If the message is retained at all, it should refer to a CD specifically. It shouldn't pretend it doesn't know whether it's burning to a CD or a DVD."

nautilus-cd-burner has been replaced by Brasero in the GNOME 2.26 release. If your bug still applies to Brasero, please feel free to re-open the bug, and reassign it to brasero itself.
