GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 554732
XIRR doesn't handle blank dates (Excel 2002 does)
Last modified: 2008-10-03 23:56:00 UTC
XIRR should ignore blank value/date pairs this would make it more compatible with Excel in the spreadsheet attached, the XIRR function produces an error (#NUM!) the purpose of including B3/A3 is so I can insert a new cash flow between rows 2 and 3, without having to update the XIRR formula Other information: 1/1/2000 -100 1/1/2005 127 =XIRR(B1:B3, A1:A3)
Created attachment 119798 [details] xirr error demonstration
i'm comparing Gnumeric to Excel 2002
Note that OOo also ignores empty cells here.
Probably not too hard. We have the machinery for this.
This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
