btw this would have probably been avoided if "make distcheck" had been used to release the tarball, thanks for considering.

I always use make distcheck when preparing the release tarball.

are those errors coming from the tarball or from trunk?

these are errors in the translation: you should contact the translation teams for fr and de and notify them - or Cc them to this bug.

yep, I was using 2.23.92 tarball. svn HEAD looks (rev 8120) looks ok. Thanks guys for prompt reaction.
