Description dheinson 2008-09-19 21:32:58 UTC
Please describe the problem:
ITunes saves cover art and other data within the iTunes music folder that contains all MP3s. When trying to access such a folder with Rhythmbox (say, on a Windows partition), importing it takes forever.

Rhythmbox takes about three seconds per file for me and produces the following errors under "import errors":
MIME type of file could not be identifies
Internal GStreamer problem, file a bug

The files it is trying to read have the extension .itc2, I suppose they are album cover artwork.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Change library folder to one that has been created with iTunes

Actual results:
Importing the folder takes forever

Expected results:
It skips files it cannot read, but much faster!

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Thank you for solving this! It might likely need to be redirected to another package...
