Description chris 2008-09-18 21:56:16 UTC
Please describe the problem:
The 1st nautilus window (file browser) always opens on the 1st workspace even if my current visible workspace is the second or any other. This is quite irritating, I'd expect it to open on the current desktop, which it does for every subsequent open.

Steps to reproduce:
I have this behavior every time when I log in freshly. I go to desktop, say 2, and use Places to open the Personal folder. The window is opened on desktop 1 instead of 2.

Actual results:
Window opens on wrong workspace

Expected results:
Window opens on visible workspace

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
I once tried to make the nautilus file browser at login. This did not work, no window is opened.

The 1st window that is opened is not only on 1st workspace, it is also sized and moved to a specific location on the screen, always the same spot.

Good catch. I think the geometries should be stored per-monitor, and the geometry of the monitor where the cursor location is specified should be used.

Confirming.
