Please describe the problem:
From https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/223768

Binary package hint: evince

First reporter was using Xubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron with all the updates installed. I have tested on Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron.

Evince Document Viewer 2.22.1.1 is unable to open external links.

When clicking on the link in a .pdf file the warning appears:
"Unable to open external link. Operation not supported."

To reproduce this bug download "Full Circle Magazine" (issue 12 - April 2008) from Distrowatch.com and try to open any link from the .pdf file. Otherwise, follow the above link and test the PDFs in that bug report

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a PDF with a hyperlink
2. Click the hyperlink
3. Operation fails

Actual results:
An error message appears: "Unable to open external link. Operation not supported."

Expected results:
For it to open the hyperlink in Firefox, or whichever other application is registered to that MIME-type

Does this happen every time?
Yes

It should be fixed in svn trunk now. Thanks for reporting.
