Description gg 2008-09-10 20:52:22 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Despite the many fine tune options on gtkprint dlg the most important one is not there: orientation.

For some odd reason it is necessary to first go to the very limitted Print setup dlg to set the orientation. Then go to print and do the rest.

Clearly all these settings should be available together. This is presumably historical, but with the growing power of the main print dlg orientation should be available.

The orientation of an image is a function of the image to be printed, not of the printer. This ought to be with the other print options.

Steps to reproduce:
1. open image (eg firefox)
2. file | print
3. try to find how to set landscape

Actual results:
image orientation not accessible, cancel out (loose settings) go printer setup, set orientation, restart print dlg.

Expected results:
orientation available from tab in main print dlg.

Does this happen every time?
y
