GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 551554
gtkhtml translation issues
Last modified: 2010-04-02 17:00:22 UTC
Mostly Matthew's code, hence CC'ing. /gtkhtml/components/editor/gtkhtml-editor.glade:44 "Rule Properties" Like in filter rule? ;-) -> Translator comment URGENT, there are already plenty of translations doing this wrong, e.g. Norwegian translation IS wrong. Please check ALL occurences of rule in gtkhtml. /gtkhtml/components/editor/gtkhtml-combo-box.c "Action" "A GtkRadioAction" Should these really be marked for translation? Why is a user interested in "A GtkRadioAction"? /gtkhtml/components/editor/gtkhtml-editor-actions.c "Table Delete" "Table Insert" What is that? A state description? A command? Isn't "Delete Table" more appropriate? Or "Deleting Table..." if it's a status? /gtkhtml/components/editor/gtkhtml-editor.c "Magic Links" "Magic Smileys" What is that? Please add a translator comment. It is explained in the next code line, however this does not mean that the next string in the po file is the same. Also, this reintroduced the term Smiley instead of Emoticon, see bug 419350. :-( is NOT a smiling face.
At least in Hebrew I've the wrong "rule" translation about a year ago. Still the wrong term is used in Launchpad translations, which I can't fix.
All even were removed from translation within bug #325121, all odd has added translator comments. Created commit 9d551b7 in gtkhtml master (3.31.1+)
