GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 55124
Optional indicator to flag cells with expressions vs values
Last modified: 2010-07-15 17:10:08 UTC
when using gnumeric, there is no way (that i know of) to see which cells contain a function, and which have plain old data entered into them i propose that gnumeric keep a little indicator in the upper right corner of the cell to show that the cell contains a function will attach a screenshot mock-up soon
Created attachment 555 [details] function indicator
h18 shows the sum of h10 and h11
There are several existing ways to handle this now. 1) You can toggle display formula or result 2) You can use the search/replace dialog to iterate through the expressions However this is a nice idea, and it would be fairly simple to implement. It would be a nice project for a new developer.
This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report. You can switch th emarker on in View->ViewProperties. Since it is a view properties you could have one view of a file with markers and another of teh same file without markers.
