clipboard trashed when exiting gucharmap

Please describe the problem: If I copy some characters into clipboard and then close gucharmap, the clipboard is empty after exit Steps to reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information: I am using XFCE, not GNOME

This works here on the Gnome desktop. I guess xfce is simply lacking a clipboard manager that stores the selection after the programme exits? (In that case this bug is NOTGNOME.)
