Description Norman Jonas 2008-08-07 00:20:43 UTC
Opening an archive ( e.g. gtk-engines-2.15.1.tar.bz2 ) with file-roller ( 2.23.1 / 2.23.5 vanilla on gentoo ) from within a gksu nautilus session the flags of / are set to non readable / executable by any other than root.

ls -l -d / :

512 drwx------ 22 root root 568 9. Jun 22:24 //

as opposed to

512 drwxr-xr-x 22 root root 568 9. Jun 22:24 //

It doesnt happen everytime an ( even the same ) archive is opened but it happens at least every second time.

The effect is a rather non working system for anyone but root until fixed with chmod +rx / .
