"If the archive is encrypted, <application>Archive Manager</application> will "
"ask to enter the password before extracing the files."

Paolo, Fred and I wonder where is File Types and Programs in GNOME. Isn't this specific to a distro ?

"&app; uses information from the <guilabel>File Types and Programs</guilabel> section of Advanced Desktop Preferences to automatically determine..."
Comment 5 Paolo Bacchilega 2008-08-16 11:10:26 UTC
The patch has been applied to trunk, thank you for the suggestions and the patch.

(In reply to comment #4)

Yes it's probably a solaris specific description. That paragraph should be changed to a more generic description of the association of file types with programs, any volunteer ?
Comment 6 Claude Paroz 2008-08-16 11:32:12 UTC
Thanks.
Is there a user-configurable interface for file type associations in GNOME upstream?
Comment 7 Paolo Bacchilega 2008-08-16 13:00:29 UTC
you can associate an application to a file type right-clicking on a file icon and choosing properties, then in the "open with" tab there is the list of associated applications.
