Description Sebastien Bacher 2008-07-30 10:47:18 UTC
the bug has been opened on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/251169

"Ubuntu 8.04
evolution 2.22.3.1-0ubuntu1
Ekiga 2.0.12-0ubuntu2

What happens:
* I opened the 'Contact Editor' and under the 'Personal Information' added a phone number to 'Video Chat' (whys it called that?)
* After adding the number the arrow to the right of that two changes from grey to orange and beings to look like it does something.
* I hover over it to see what it does, no tool tip
* I click to see what it does, nothing happens

But I know that this number is the number Ekiga looks at when I open it's 'Phone Book'

What I expected:
* Something (probably the text field) should activate a tool tip
* The orange arrow should have a tool tip describing what it will do if I click it
* The Evolution manual should mention what the 'Video Chat' field is for and what the orange arrow button does
* When I click it surely something somewhere should do something

I'm happy to split this into several bugs on request."

>* Something (probably the text field) should activate a tool tip
The entries are very clear about their content, no tooltip needed.
>* The orange arrow should have a tool tip describing what it will do if I click
>it

This all is OK in current git

>* The Evolution manual should mention what the 'Video Chat' field is for and
>what the orange arrow button does
Haven't found anything about the Video chat nor the arrow button, should someone from documentation team be cc'd?

If somebody tells me what the "Video chat" field is for I can document it.

Things changed meanwhile, the 3.12.x shows "Click here to open the URL" when a mouse hovers above the arrow.
