Description dlublink 2008-07-28 18:29:44 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
1. Download this PDF http://www.csb.gc.ca/s40rates/2007_11_CS47.pdf
2. Open it in evince ( or using evince-thumbnail )
3. watch your memory usage carefully.

Once the document is open, changing window size, zooming etc... should cause the memory issue again.

Other information:
This bug was produced in evince 2.22, 2.23 and as well as trunk. It is best to test the bug on a computer with 512 mb of memory or less, because if you have too much memory the PDF will eventually load. On 512mb of memory it causes serious swap thrashing and in some cases never opens.

You'll notice it wasn't actually me who tested trunk, but I did confirm the bug in the 2.22 and 2.23.

Most probably poppler update or cairo update will make it fixed btw. Anyhow, thanks a lot for your time to make a bug report.
