the bug has been opened on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+bug/251090

"Binary package hint: file-roller

Previously, it was possible to extract a multi-volume RAR archive from Nautilus by clicking on any part.
Now, it only works with the .rar file (the 1st part).
All the other .r\d+ create an empty (useless) file-roller window.
This is a regression.

fixed loading the first volume even when the user opens another volume.
