Description Wouter Bolsterlee (uws) 2008-07-27 22:31:32 UTC
Please move the code repository away from (uncontrolled) Google code into Gnome SVN, so that the translations can be tracked properly on l10n.gnome.org. It's quite anyway strange to host your bug tracker here, but not your code...

(Marking major since Hamster tries to be targeting Gnome, and right now well established Gnome workflows cannot be applied to it.)
Comment 1 Toms Bauģis 2008-07-27 23:11:49 UTC
i applied for gnome svn repository for hamster quite a while ago, but haven't got any response since then
Comment 2 Wouter Bolsterlee (uws) 2008-07-27 23:21:21 UTC
Did you apply for an account or a repository? Since if you already have an account, creating a new repository is trivial (I can do it for you if you want).
Comment 3 André Klapper 2008-07-28 11:54:37 UTC
Toms: you've written an email to svnmaster@? what is your ticket number?
Comment 4 Toms Bauģis 2008-07-28 12:49:37 UTC
Yes, and we are moving now - no worries :)
Comment 5 Patryk Zawadzki 2008-07-28 12:57:10 UTC
Looks like I'll be responsible for the move from the Hamster's side. svnmaster should now have all the necessary details.

Please note that as I already have a GNOME SVN account (pzawadzki), it could be easier to just create a repo and assign it to me and allow other developers to get their account during or after the migration.
Comment 6 Wouter Bolsterlee (uws) 2008-07-28 13:03:17 UTC
You can just run

  $ ssh svn.gnome.org new-svn-repos hamster-applet

...and the repository will be created for you. To preserve history you can either get a SVN dump from the Google repository (if that's possible) or try some work-around tricks using e.g. bzr-svn (I can help you with this, let me know).
Comment 7 Wouter Bolsterlee (uws) 2008-07-28 13:04:09 UTC
Oops, forgot to mention: if you can obtain a SVN dump you need to ask one the svn masters (hi Olav) to import it for you.
Comment 8 Patryk Zawadzki 2008-07-28 13:10:56 UTC
Would it be possible for one of the svn masters to run svnsync? It requires the revprop privilege (so I doubt I can use it remotely) and the worst that can happen is inconsistent logins (at least I have a different username here and on Google).

Actually we have a syncronized clone of the trunk on:
https://code.launchpad.net/~vcs-imports/hamster-applet/trunk

Could this help?
Comment 10 André Klapper 2008-08-04 22:12:50 UTC
hamster has been officially approved for inclusion in GNOME 2.24, see the announcement on devel-announce-list:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/devel-announce-list/2008-August/msg00001.html

This is urgent now.
Comment 11 Wouter Bolsterlee (uws) 2008-08-15 08:29:31 UTC
Thanks, Olav!

Now we can have hamster-applet in damned-lies!
Comment 12 André Klapper 2008-08-15 09:52:52 UTC
Wouster: Just requested it.
