Steps to reproduce:
1. try to restart haldaemon "haldaemon failed. The error was: Stopping HAL daemon: [FAILED]

Starting HAL daemon: [FAILED]"
2. go to sound preferences press test button get "audiotestsrc wave=sine freq=512 ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! gconfaudiosink: Internal GStreamer error: state change failed.  Please file a bug at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=GStreamer."

The real error message is not forwarded by gconfaudiosink.

This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be solved in the next software version. You may want to check for a software upgrade.

to whom it may concern,

where I can find a properly working version of HAL daemon and/or gstreamer? Neither of automatic updates till now have actually resolved the problem.
