Description Chris Coulson 2008-07-08 11:57:55 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Bug initially reported on Launchpad: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-bluetooth/+bug/246547

hentaidan reported:

"Having enabled bluetooth and checked General | "Receive files from remote devices" in Bluetooth preferences, on subsequent startups I am informed that "Receiving of incoming files is enabled" via a notification bubble.

In my opinion this should only be shown when the check box is enabled, and not on subsequent startups. I enabled the option myself, and have been informed once: I feel this should be enough."

Steps to reproduce:
1. In gnome-bluetooth preferences, enable 'Receive files from remote devices'

Actual results:
A notification bubble is intially displayed saying "Receiving of incoming files is enabled".

This notification bubble is also displayed on every subsequent log-in, sometimes before the panel has fully loaded, and sometimes in the wrong corner of the screen. This looks messy.

Expected results:
The notification bubble should be displayed only once.

Does this happen every time?
Yes

File sharing is gone from bluez-gnome, use gnome-user-share.
