installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables DBUS_CFLAGS
and DBUS_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

patch altering the moduleset to incluse dbus-glib 0.76

But 0.75 isn't modelled in gnome-external-deps-2.24.modules
As 0.76 is the next release matching that dependency, I've patched the moduleset.
Comment 2 Frederic Peters 2008-06-17 16:07:15 UTC
Thanks for your report.

Currently only dbus-glib 0.74 is blessed by the release team; as written http://live.gnome.org/TwoPointTwentythree/ExternalDependencies you should mail desktop-devel-list to get release team approval; I will update jhbuild module set whenever that page gets updated.
Comment 3 Tobias Mueller 2008-06-17 16:29:43 UTC
Well, then the problem is that NetworkManager requires a more up-to-date version of dbus-glib than we can handle. How do we resolve that issue? I mean NetworkManager is not buildable at the moment.
Comment 4 Frederic Peters 2008-06-17 16:36:03 UTC
Getting release team approval. That means mailing desktop-devel-list.
Comment 6 Frederic Peters 2008-06-18 08:43:04 UTC
Approval. Please commit your patch (but don't leave the <patch> commented, the line should simply be removed).
Comment 7 Tobias Mueller 2008-06-21 10:01:57 UTC
committed as 2143. Thus closing this bug as FIXED.

Just a nitpick: Shouldn't the patch have been marked as accept-commit-now?
Comment 8 Frederic Peters 2008-06-21 17:12:04 UTC
Nitpicking it should have been marked as reviewed, as I asked it not to be commited as is. Hopefully we are not a bureaucracy :)
