Description michail 2008-06-10 08:02:41 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Quite strange, but connection to all fx.soma and steady.soma station takes up to 2 minutes, and some times when it connects, rhythmbox does not display song name and playing can be stopped only by switching on other channel or song.

Other stations work fine

Steps to reproduce:
1. Add http://fx.somafm.com:8800 to stations list
2. Double click
3. Wait...

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?

If connecting to the stream takes a long time, then it takes a long time. What is rhythmbox supposed to do about that?

The song title update problem was fixed recently.

Well, it does not for mplayer (for example)

I can confirm this. After double-clicking on some radio stations rhythmbox does nothing for several seconds. I've already posted a bug report on launchpad:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/370556

For me the problem appears for example with this station:

Hi michail and Alex.

if you have time, could you please check again whether this issue still happens in Rhythmbox 3.1 or 3.0 and update this report by adding a comment and changing the "Version" field and provide information about your distribution and a testcase? And with which other application at the very same time you have no problems? Thanks a lot.
