Comment 1 Jody Goldberg 2001-04-27 12:38:21 UTC
This feature has not been implemented. True be told, I'm not
actually sure what this would be used for. This will probably not
make it in before the 1.0 freeze in July.
Comment 2 Clay Berlo 2002-06-07 20:30:45 UTC
This feature is extremely useful when altering a set of similar
worksheets. E.g. Cell A3 needs to be updated with a formula or
specific value in a set of twelve worksheets; select all affected
sheets then alter the specific cell to alter in all sheets simultaneously.
Comment 3 Frederic Parrenin 2004-08-26 17:40:14 UTC
Another application of the multiple sheet selection is simply the deletion of
several sheets.
Comment 4 Oliver Burnett-Hall 2007-02-23 23:38:19 UTC
A special case of selecting multiple sheets is for entering 3D cell references (it's a bit different as you have to select adjacent sheets and can't make any changes to the sheets whilst doing this). Bug 411403 is for that.

Comment 7 Andreas J. Guelzow 2010-06-19 02:56:17 UTC
Note that bug #47248 is not really about selecting multiple sheets but about two otehr interpretations for saving changes. I have marked it as a duplicate of this since I could envision a "enter" menu htat allows us to:
a) write to multiple sheets
b) write to all selected cells
c) write to teh selected cells merging them.

possibility (a) could then prompt a sheet list to select multiple sheets
Comment 8 Andreas J. Guelzow 2010-07-29 20:22:52 UTC
Note that (b) can already done using ctrl-enter.
Comment 9 Andreas J. Guelzow 2010-07-31 05:28:24 UTC
(b) and (c) are implemented in 1.10.8 through an enter menu attached to the entry bar.
