GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 536883
Rendering problem with t1lib
Last modified: 2008-06-16 19:11:40 UTC
It seems evince as a little problem rendering some characters from dvi files when t1lib support is enabled. Pursuing our downstream bug: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=158172 aballier, fellow gentoo dev, suggested it might be architecture related. And so it appears to be. The files I'll attach in a moment shows that when the tex files uses T1 for font encoding, the document shows garbled characters on amd64 but not on x86.
Created attachment 112239 [details] Demonstration DVI files The archive contains the sample .tex file and two dvi files: * bad.dvi uses T1 for font encoding * good.dvi doesn't use T1
I think this problem is already fixed in svn trunk. See http://mail.gnome.org/archives/evince-list/2008-April/msg00011.html Feel free to reopen it if the problem persists for you with evince from svn trunk. Thanks for reporting.
Created attachment 112857 [details] [review] t1lib.patch Yes, patch works also in 2.20 and 2.22 Thanks a lot :-)
