Position one window over the other
minimize the topmost window
All icons will turn white and second window won't refresh.  GNOME and X should now be crashed

GMC is no longer being activly maintained as it has been replaced by
Nautilus. If you want a gmc like filemanager for GNOME we recommend
looking at:
