GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 535128
Drag&drop from/to Nautilus doesn't work anymore
Last modified: 2008-12-09 09:03:27 UTC
AFAIR, older versions allowed to drag&drop songs in the GUI. Other information: Use cases: 1. I want to add songs to a specified folder on my USB player. I should simply select all songs I want in Banshee and drag them to the Nautilus folder window I opened. 2. I want to import some songs from a folder. Dragging them is easy, clicking Multimedia/Import multimedia and choosing the songs again is hard.
they did. i'd suggest this fix for 1.0, its seriously affects workflow of a lot of users.
Is there an anwser for this bug? Agree, this feature should be in nautilus. I think it's no just a feature, it's a must have.

Dragging from nautilus into Banshee works, btw. I'm going to work on the other direction right now.
This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
I'm having problems with this again in 1.3.1. DnD from Banshee to Nautilus seems to work, but not the other way around.
As far as I can tell, I don't have the power to reopen this, but my last comment is still true in 1.4.1. Should I file a new bug report? I can drag files from Banshee to Nautilus, and I can drag files from Nautilus to a specific playlist or the Play Queue, but not to the Music Library.
I'd really like some feedback on my last couple comments as I find this bug extremely annoying. From my experience, this bug certainly shouldn't be marked as fixed.
Similar: DnD from banshee to brasero does not work. Does anyone know if this is a banshee or brasero limitation? It would be very handy for e.g. creating mp3 cds...
