GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 535015
File URL links aren't as useful as they could be
Last modified: 2009-01-26 22:28:19 UTC
Please describe the problem: I've been trying to use file URLs to keep track of a list of documents I'm working on. I kept a list of links in the document, but it turned out to be less useful. For one, the file link wouldn't launch the document when I clicked on it, so I had to use a web link with a 'file:/' url. As a bonus feature, it would be neat to watch the files so that when I went to rename them, the link was updated. Steps to reproduce: Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
The external file links should work now. This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
