I simply get no icons on some menu (for instance the 'Programs' menu or
when login out on the button). I've compiled Gnome. No problem was reported
with pixbuf or something else. Many icoins are displayed, only a few are
missing. I simply don't know if the files are missing, but I got told they
could on #gnome-help. The following are certainly moissing : the green
check, the red X.

This looks like a build problem. First guess - each missing icon is a
.PNG file. Each existing icon is a .JPG or .GIF

(Yes I got some help here 8))

There were some problems with configure not setting GNOME_ICONDIR in
one of the early 1.4.x gnome-core releases. Please upgrade to the
latest and try that if you haven't already.
Comment 4 Kjartan Maraas 2002-01-05 17:14:35 UTC
Has this been resolved?
Comment 5 Kjartan Maraas 2002-03-16 23:29:22 UTC
Please respond. Has this been fixed in a later release?
Comment 6 Telsa Gwynne 2002-03-19 11:56:09 UTC
I still think it was a build problem.
Comment 7 Kjartan Maraas 2002-04-27 00:16:18 UTC
Closing as NOTABUG then.
