Description Olivier Le Thanh Duong 2008-05-08 10:13:33 UTC
There is a lack of coherence between the widget to configure different type of account.
  * Some use * to hide the password others use ●.
  * Some use "Username", some "Login ID", and others "Account".
  * Msn (haze) doesn't have any button to clear the password
  * Msn (haze) has the Account and Password field inverted
Comment 1 Xavier Claessens 2008-05-08 12:41:01 UTC
* VS ● is already fixed in trunk.

Username/Login ID/Account: Need a trivial fix.

MSN haze uses the generic UI, I'm not sure it can use the same than MSN butterfly.
Comment 2 Guillaume Desmottes 2008-07-07 08:27:10 UTC
Currently we use:

Gabble: Login ID
SIP: Username
MSN Haze: Account
MSN: Login ID

We can't change MSN-Haze while it's using the generic account. I guess it can't use the same widget as Butterfly as CM's use different params. We need to write a MSN-haze widget if we want to properly fix this.

I'm not sure if all the widgets should use the same name.
What about "Jabber ID" for Gabble?
"MSN ID" for MSN?
Not sure for SIP.
Comment 3 Olivier Le Thanh Duong 2008-07-07 19:57:59 UTC
Couldn't it be fixed in the generic account?
Comment 4 Frederic Peters 2008-12-26 13:33:45 UTC
Username/Login ID/Account: the difference is there because users of different systems are used to different names. (see mpt review).
Comment 5 Xavier Claessens 2008-12-26 14:01:59 UTC
Right, we can't be coherent here... I close the bug. If some strings are not coherent with the "native" client for some protocols please open new bugs.
