Description Christian Fredrik Kalager Schaller 2008-05-07 14:53:37 UTC
Downloading this song: http://www.ladytron.com/Ladytron-BlackCat.mp3

I get this in Totem 'Audio codec 'MPEG 1 Layer 3 CBR' is not handled. You might need to install additional plugins to be able to play some types of movies'.

If I try playing the same song with gst-launch and playbin (or playbin2) everything works just fine.
Comment 1 Sebastian Dröge (slomo) 2008-05-08 05:51:32 UTC
Hm, doesn't totem use playbin anyway? Could you run totem with GST_DEBUG=5 and attach the resulting log here?

Also, which mp3 plugins do you have installed?
Comment 2 Christian Fredrik Kalager Schaller 2008-05-08 14:34:27 UTC
Aaaugh, it was just stupid Fedora having installed Totem-xine for some reason. Removed it and Totem gstreamer handles the file just fine.
