GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 529801
Drag notes to desktop as launchers
Last modified: 2017-07-31 12:37:14 UTC
It would be nice if you could drag a note, drop it on the desktop and a .desktop file would be created to launch that note, similar to how you can drag an application from GNOME's applications menu or an URL from Epiphany. e.g. for note "Foo" it would create file $HOME/Desktop/foo.desktop with something like [Desktop Entry] Name=Foo Exec=tomboy --open-note Foo Icon=tomboy StartupNotify=false Terminal=false Type=Application That way the icon on the desktop could act as a reminder and the note itself would contain the details.
Similar to bug 408724?
(In reply to comment #1) > Similar to bug 408724? Perhaps similar in intent, but I think the features are pretty different.
