Description chicha 2008-04-24 17:41:59 UTC
Hello,

F-Spot crashes when importing photos from a camera. It crashes when either selecting 'import' in the 'file' menu, or when clicking on the 'import' button in the toolbar.

If no camera is plugged in then I have not problem importing the photos from a local directory.

I am able to import the photos manually using gphoto2 as a simple user (with no specific privileges).

Please find attached the trace output from 'f-spot --debug' command.
Please find below my configuration :

Distro : Archlinux
Kernel : Linux-2.6.24
F-spot : 0.4.2
Mono : 1.9.1
libgphoto2 : 2.4.0
Camera : Canon IXUS 850 IS

I see this bug as a major severity for the import component, however there is a work around by using gphoto2 directly and then import from a folder.

If you need more information feel free to ask !
Thank you very much for your help.

Sorry for the duplicate.
I thought I had looked enought ...

Thank you also for the bug fix. I am going to make a patch with r3831 until a new f-spot release is out.

I wish you all the best with f-spot :-)
