Please describe the problem:
F-Spot screensaver doesn't show images anymore. It only shows a black screen. It works fine in the version 0.4.0 (Ubuntu 7.10) and stops working in version 0.4.2 (Ubuntu 8.04).

Steps to reproduce:
1. import some images in F-Spot and add the to the favorite/screensaver category
2. activate F-Spot screensaver in Gnome
3. preview screensaver or lock screen with ctrl + l


Actual results:
Only a black screen is shown.

Expected results:
It should show a dia show of the images which are marked as favorite.

Does this happen every time?
It happens every time at least with current version in Ubuntu Hardy.

Other information:
Maybe the problem is the db update in 0.4.2.

I can't get the f-spot trunk screensaver to work as well.
