Description Trevor Curtis 2001-03-21 19:14:44 UTC
The key sequence to open a browser/ftp client with a URL found in a
gnome-terminal is not working. Right clicking on the URL and selecting
Open in browser still does however.

To Recreate:
-open a gnome-terminal and type in an http address. (ie #http://google.com)
-hold the "Ctrl" button down whilst pressing the left mouse button (this is
the key sequence to open a browser window with the selected URL)

Results:
-No browser window appears.

I am running GNOME 1.4 Release Candidate

I've found this to be a simpler issue than I tought. When GNOME is
installed and the default window manager is (sawfish), both the window
manager and gnome have a mapping for the the "CTRL-(left-click)"
sequence. Dingus isn't working here, because Sawfish's key sequence
over rides GNOME's. The fix here would be to change this particular
key sequence of Sawfish to another, non-conflicting one.

Closing this as it isn't strictly a bug
