============================================================================
RFC 4833 describes method on distributing timezone information via DHCP, which
can be a nice thing inside a company where users travel around with their
notebooks internationally.

The idea would be to have the clock panel application query NM (after receiving
a signal of network up via DBuS) the DHCP option 100/101 and set the current
timezone to the reply. In case of no reply, I'd suggest to use the system wide
configured standard (the 'home' location of the device, set during the
installation)

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all
old feature requests in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years.

If you still use gnome-panel and if you are still requesting this feature in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-panel/-/issues/

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be implemented.
