GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 521783
Import playlist only works with absolute path playlists
Last modified: 2020-03-17 08:23:05 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #516961 +++ As reported in bug #516961 and downstream (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/banshee/+bug/181141), importing a relative-path playlist doesn't work. It should.
Marking NEEDINFO so I can test in Banshee-1.
Does not work in 1.2.1.
I've found I cannot import playlists either. No indication from Banshee as to why in the logs: 10:49 alex@danny/x86_64 [playlists] >cat Test2.m3u /home/alex/music/Compilations/Mash Ups/Kylie vs. Whigfield - Love at First Sight vs. Saturday Night.mp3 /home/alex/music/Amazon MP3/Jim Noir/Tower Of Love/01 - My Patch [Album Version].mp3 /home/alex/music/Mixture/Dee-lite - Groove Is In The Heart.ogg /home/alex/music/Compilations/Groove Armada Presents/05 - Bugz in the Attic - Booty La La.ogg 10:49 alex@danny/x86_64 [playlists] >cat Test2.m3u | xargs -n 1 -i{} file "{}" /home/alex/music/Compilations/Mash Ups/Kylie vs. Whigfield - Love at First Sight vs. Saturday Night.mp3: Audio file with ID3 version 23.0 tag, MP3 encoding /home/alex/music/Amazon MP3/Jim Noir/Tower Of Love/01 - My Patch [Album Version].mp3: Audio file with ID3 version 24.0 tag, MP3 encoding /home/alex/music/Mixture/Dee-lite - Groove Is In The Heart.ogg: Ogg data, Vorbis audio, stereo, 44100 Hz, ~112015 bps, created by: Xiphophorus libVorbis I (1.0 RC3) /home/alex/music/Compilations/Groove Armada Presents/05 - Bugz in the Attic - Booty La La.ogg: Ogg data, Vorbis audio, stereo, 44100 Hz, ~192000 bps, created by: Xiph.Org libVorbis I
Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again. See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
