1. Add an ssh share where you have write permission
2. in a nautilus window, right click a file and choose copy
3. now paste 
Error Error "Generic error" while copying "ssh://timric...index.shtml".

expected behavior: make a renamed duplicate of the original

This works fine now in 2.22.0, must have been fixed during the transition from GnomeVFS to GIO. Closing as OBSOLETE, thanks for reporting this bug and feel free to report any other bug you find!
