Description Dennis Björklund 2001-03-12 08:04:43 UTC
The deskguide (0.4) redraws to much when changeing workarea and it draws in
the wrong prosition for a millisecond before the whole thing is redrawed
correctly.

1. Use a 3x3 workspace
2. Don't draw thumbnails
3. Open a window in the middle workspace (and leave the others empty to se
clearly what happens).
4. Select the middle workspace

Now:

* if you change to the top right workspace you will see the the widget
redraws the lover left area with the content that should be in the middle
workspace.

* if you change to the middle right workspace you will see the the widget
redraws the middle left area with the content that should be in the middle
workspace.

After this the complete widget is redrawed so it looks correct afterwords.
But it's still a bug to redraw the wrong things even if it's painted over
directly after.

Has this been fixed in a later release?
Comment 2 Luis Villa 2002-02-13 16:02:49 UTC
db: is this still a problem? Please reopen the bug if it is; we're
trying to become better about tracking and solving this type of problem.
Comment 3 Dennis Björklund 2002-02-13 16:31:59 UTC
I use gnome-core-1.4.0.4 now and the problem is still there for that
version. But since gnome2 is around the corner then this is not so
important.

But i'll reopen as you said I should and you can close it again if you
want to :-)
Comment 4 Kjartan Maraas 2002-03-16 21:42:29 UTC
Have you tried gnome-core-1.4.0.6?
Comment 5 Kjartan Maraas 2002-12-01 20:16:39 UTC
Closing.
Comment 6 Kjartan Maraas 2002-12-01 20:16:56 UTC
Let's say "fixed in 2.x"
