Description Pedro Villavicencio 2008-02-28 15:36:02 UTC
This bug has been filed here:

https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-system-tools/+bug/158687

"While trying to use gnome-network configuration gui to connect to an unsecured access point there is no option to select "no encryption" or "unsecured".

I have to manually use iwconfig to set the ESSID and encryption level to none.

I would expect to see "WPA/WPA2/WEP/Unsecured" for example as drop down options."

According to its developer(s), gnome-system-tools is not under active development anymore. Functionality has been mostly integrated into GNOME Control Center / "[System] Settings".

It is unlikely that there will be any further active development.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping - Please feel
free to reopen this bug report in the future if anyone takes the responsibility
for active development again.
