In both following sentences, it's not possible to swap the order of placeholder arguments in the translated sentence, unless msgfmt screams...

msgid "%s index %d does not match row and column"
(should be in French : l'index %d de %s ne correspond pas...)

msgid "%s parent index %d does not match row and column index %d"

A patch follows which resolves the problem, using Python extended placeholder syntax.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
